Thanks to all the Contractors and Associate members who joined us at the 2012 Associates Appreciation Night and Annual Meetings.
Following the Annual Meetings for PIDF, MCDF, SMC Milwaukee, SMACCA Milwaukee, SMACCA Wisconsin and PMC, veryone headed over to the Harley-Davidson Museum®. Over 172 guests were registered for this year's event and 18 Associates were on hand to demonstrate their goods and services at their table displays. The more Associate tables the contractors visited, the better the chance they had to win the raffle prizes.
Following dinner, guests had the opportunity to tour the museum and continue to socialized with other guests.
A great holiday celebration at the Western Racquet Club, as industry friends, old and new, got together to enjoy some holiday spirit and fun! Following this presentation the candidates can make arrangements with Local 18 Training Coordinator Kurt Nickel to take the FLS ertification written test at the Sheet Metal JATC.
Many of you were able to join us on August 1st for the annual PMC/SMACCA Charity Golf Outing. We enjoyed a great day of fun, golf and camaraderie at a new location -- Chenequa Country Club.
After the Annual Meetings were held, contractors joined associates for a trade show that gave participants the opportunity to grow their businesses and learn about the latest technology in the industry.
During dinner, PMC President Bob Faust (Faust Co., Inc.) recognized Ron Lemke (Illingworth-Kilgust Mechanical) for his ten years of service on the PMC Board of Directors. Ron has served the maximum number of terms on the board and will be greatly missed.
After dinner, guests tried their luck at several casino games including craps, blackjack, roulette and Texas Hold'Em.
Tour of ECAM Lab MATC South Campus Wednesday, January 26, 2011
An Open House was conducted at MATC Oak Creek Campus to tour the newly completed ECAM Lab.The ECAM Lab will serve all of Wisconsin and surrounding States’ Mechanical Contractors as a TABB (Testing, Adjusting and Balancing Bureau) Certified Exam location.The Lab is a result of the joint efforts of MATC personnel, contractors, vendors, and individual tradesmen.The Lab features a new Hydronic Testing Water Board which will allow technicians to certify in water balancing as well.
The SMACCA-Wisconsin Association was presented with the TABB Affiliate Plaque.
TABB implements the HVAC tab (testing, adjusting and balancing) technician, supervisor, and contractor certification program for the Sheet Metal Workers’ International Association (SMWIA) and the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA), which ensures that HVAC systems operate at the highest standards, with the best energy efficiency, and ventilation effectiveness at every state of an indoor environmental retrofit – or new building construction.
There were over 75 people in attendance representing MATC, TABB, iTi, Local 18 as well as 16 contractors being represented.
