              About the Program

This is an interactive introduction to the various forms, sources, and effects both good and not so good stress contribute to our everyday work and non-work lives as construction industry professionals. Stress and eustress will be defined including common causes and sources of stress. Various types of stressors will be identified with class participant help and compared to common models of stressor sources in work and non-work situations. Both good and bad stress will be considered again with help from class participants and lots of shared real world stories and scenarios. Important effects of stress and the reactive physical, psychological, and sociological strains in ourselves, our workmates, and our families will be discussed and subjectively evaluated. Finally, coping strategies and methods that we can use to maximize good stress and minimize bad stress will wrap up the webinar learning experience to help each of us move forward and be more stress resilient.

Confidentiality: Stress and coping can be a very personal and sensitive topic in a closed class training experience. Please know that we encourage openness in our discussion and that what is said in class stays in class. This is what we owe each other as MCA learners and professionals. Integrity remains #1.
