Wheatland Tube produces steel pipe using two different processes. The first process is Continuous Weld (CW) and it provides many benefits in terms of easier threading, bending, and cutting making it the preference of choice for many contractors. Wheatland is the only Continuous Weld mill in the Western Hemisphere and one of the few left in the world.
The second process is Electric Resistance Weld (ERW), Wheatland seam anneals the weld zone to attain Grade B which provides a stronger more ductile pipe that is less susceptible to corrosion.
Craig Kohler will walk through both the CW and ERW process and discuss the benefits each provides along with answering any questions. Additionally, the presentation will cover common sizes, specifications, and certifications.
