We have a variety of safety service available for our members. Our national associations produce excellent safety resources, all of which are available for our members to borrow through our Library Resource Center. We also provide training and educational programs using the resource of our staff, outside speakers, and our Associate members. Additionally we work jointly with other organizations to promote safety-related programs throughout the year.
Members are offered an opportunity every year to sign up for the 3E MSDS On Demand Program. This program addresses the OSHA's HAzard Communication Standard. Employers are required to keep Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) available at all times. This service allows you to access virtually any MSDS sheet with a simple phone call 24/7/365!
Registration for 2008-2009 will be open from January through May 2009. The contract year runs June 15 - June 14 of the following year.
The cost for 2008 to participate was $415. Please call the Association office if you are interested in the coming year.
Toolbox Talks
Toolbox Talks are designed to provide supervisory personnel with useful and informative information on various construction safety and health related topics. The Toolbox Talks can easily be reproduced and distributed at safety meeting and safety training sessions. To learn more please call our office at 414/543-7622.

Pat Ostrenga has been assigned the posisiton of Compliance Assistance Specialist for the Milwaukee-area OSHA office. This position has been developed strictly for outreach. The State of Wisconsin provides an OSHA Consultation service. The voluntary service is provided free of charge and is completely confidential. The review will help you identify areas of strength and weakness within your company’s safety program. For more information call OSHA Consultation Service at 262/521-5063. Another great resource for safety information is your Workers’ Compensation insurance carrier. We have a number of Associate Members who are insurance carriers and may be able to assist you. Please call our office for a list of Associate Members or check your roster.
Partners in Safety
The Partners in Safety Program is a mandatory safety training program that is part of the collective bargaining agreement between PMC and both Plumbers Local 75 and Steamfitters Local 601. Under the terms of the program, each member of Local 75 and Local 601, along with designated safety representatives from each employer must attend four hours of safety training each year. The four hours may not be taken during the same semester.
