The next installment of the 2006-2007 Partners In Safety program will be a continuation of OSHA Standards & Other Regulations.
It has been several years since the Partners In Safety program was created, and through the cooperation of Local 75, PMC, our employees and our contractors, we have increased both the knowledge and application of safe work practices in our industry.
Since its inception, we have covered a number of topics - Back Safety, Hearing Conservation and Bloodborne Pathogens, to name a few. This installment, we will continue with a new topic of OSHA Standards, working towards the OSHA-10 card by the end of 2007.
Specifically, we will be discussing HAZARD COMMUNICATION AND EXCAVATION/TRENCHING.
The purpose of this course is two-fold: First, it provides important training in evermore stringently enforced OSHA regulations. It also articulates the importance of knowing how and why you take certain precautions on the jobsite and the impact that your actions have on the bottom line.
